@itsmimitheshihtzu has really slowed down these last couple of months; she’s mostly blind, sleeps 23 hours a day, and forgets where she’s supposed to go to the bathroom. We know this means our time together is coming to an end and there’s nothing we can do but enjoy the little we have left. My heart has been breaking for months and no matter how much I try to prepare, I know that when it’s time, it’s going to hurt like hell. So if you have a crusty little (or big) dog, give them the biggest hug. We’ve been so fortunate to have 16+ years with this little lady, but it doesn’t feel like enough.
